TERMS OF SERVICE

Working draft — not yet effective. This page must be checked against the released service and reviewed before publication.

1. Introduction and acceptance

These Terms of Service govern use of the Grave Client website, desktop launcher and related services operated by the Grave Client project ("we", "us"). The service is under development. By installing or using a released version, you agree to the then-current Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the service.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be legally able to agree to these Terms, or have the necessary permission from a parent or guardian. You must comply with applicable laws and Microsoft and Minecraft account requirements. Grave Client does not provide Minecraft ownership or bypass account verification.

3. What Grave Client provides

Grave Client is an independent Minecraft Java Edition launcher. Available features may include version management, profiles, community mod discovery and featured server listings. Features labelled planned, beta or coming soon are not guaranteed to launch or remain available.

4. Third-party services and content

Minecraft, Microsoft authentication, Modrinth projects, third-party mods, servers, external stores and linked sites are operated under their own rules and privacy practices. We do not control their availability or content. Review third-party terms before using them.

5. Permitted use

Use Grave Client lawfully and without disrupting its systems or other users. Do not attempt unauthorised access, distribute malicious code, abuse services, impersonate others, or circumvent authentication, licensing or security protections.

6. Mods, servers and downloads

Mods and community servers may contain bugs, inappropriate content or security risks. Review sources and permissions before installing third-party content. Server listings are recommendations or directories, not warranties of safety or quality.

7. Advertising and sponsored placements

We may introduce advertisements and paid placements, including sponsored Minecraft servers or other gaming services. When introduced, paid promotions should be identifiable as sponsored. An advertised service remains responsible for its own products, rules and fulfilment. No advertising programme is represented as active by this draft.

8. Payments and purchases

If paid products, subscriptions or promotions are introduced, their price, payment provider, cancellation, refund and delivery terms will be disclosed before purchase. Separate terms may apply to third-party stores. This draft does not create an existing paid subscription.

9. Intellectual property

The Grave Client name, original branding and software elements are protected where applicable. Minecraft and related marks belong to their respective owners. Grave Client is an independent project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Mojang Studios or Microsoft.

10. Updates, changes and availability

We may modify, suspend or discontinue features, issue security updates, or change requirements. We may update these Terms and will post the current version with an effective date. Material changes may require renewed acceptance where appropriate.

11. Suspension and termination

We may restrict access to our services where reasonably necessary to protect security, comply with law or respond to serious breaches. You may stop using Grave Client and uninstall it at any time.

12. Disclaimers and liability

Development and beta software may contain defects or interruptions. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable consumer protections. Any final liability provisions must be reviewed before publication.

13. Contact and disputes

For questions, complaints or legal notices, contact details for the actual operator must be published here before launch. Applicable governing law and dispute procedures will be confirmed following legal review.

14. Changes and effective date

Draft prepared 25 October 2026. This is a working document for review, not a published final agreement. Replace this paragraph with an effective date and operator details before public release.
